Chad A. B. Wilson holds a Ph.D. in nineteenth-century British literature and postcolonial theory, but his writing lives in the dust, blood, and shadows of the weird west—and beyond. By day, he teaches technical communication for engineers at the University of Houston; by night, he writes fast-moving stories where ordinary people are forced to face the impossible.

His work redefines the action hero—not as a legend, but as someone flawed, stubborn, and willing to do what needs to be done. He is the author of the Grit stories, a series of supernatural westerns, and The Dedicated and the Damned, a sword and sorcery saga blending dark fantasy, violence, and myth.
